Commit to not using peat-based compost. sharing tips on: making compost, encouraging greater biodiversity in gardens (e.g. wilding, creating + protecting habitats and planting for insects and birds) and green gardening. locally and through the village newsletter. They will also co-ordinate efforts. The group will calculate their carbon footprints and encourage others to do the same. They will increase walking, cycling, lift sharing or public transport for local journeys by March 2022.
Commit to starting 'Wild Church' - worship services out in nature, and refreshing the ECO Audit they did 4 years ago - (which has been less of a priority during Covid), by March 2022.
Cornerstone Baptist ChurchCommit to beginning a series of 'green' focused events by March 2022, these will include a plant swap, tool swaps and donation of unwanted tools to be recycled by Workaid and Hope charities. They will start a village tree nursery and eventually planting trees grown from the seed of trees in the village.
