COP 27 Commitments and Achievements
The Red Lion commits to changing all their lights to LEDs and making insect and wildlife friendly areas in the garden by March 2023. They would also like to hold an eco-fair. In 2022, they added more insulation to their loft areas and removed straws and stirrers.
The Red LionChinnor Methodist Church commit to conducting a Carbon Footprint survey and taking appropriate action by March 2023. Last year thermostats were adjusted and new seals fitted to windows. Meetings and services have included conversations and reflections on environmental issues.
Chinnor Methodist ChurchChinnor Bakery and Cafe commits to displaying a 'no idling' sign and encouraging customers to use paper bags for fruit and vegetables by March 2023. In 2022, they changed boiler settings and turned down heating settings to lower costs and emissions.
Chinnor Bakery and CafeChinnor Parish Council commit to continuing with tree planting projects and establishing more 'no mow' areas by March 2023. They will also provide households with information on energy efficiency and insulation. Last year, they installed an EV charge point for two electric vehicles and developed an environmental policy.
