COP 27 Commitments and Achievements
Commit to investigating getting solar panels installed on site and continuing to enhance the studio’s meadow for increased biodiversity by March 2022. They will install more bird nest boxes, lay metal sheets in the meadow for reptiles, encourage more wild plants, improve hedgerows, build a log pile and better maintain the pond. Where possible, James Ort, the Studio’s manager, will donate 15% of his art sales to wildlife charities. UPDATE: Has quote for solar, meadow enhanced for biodiversity, bird boxes made.
The Phoenix StudioCommit to no longer purchasing or using any new plastic, and only providing reusable paper or fabric packaging by March 2022. ACHIEVED
Tilly NillyCommit to starting a public recycling point for used ink cartridges - the proceeds of which will go to Sobell House, by March 2022. They will also continue to offer recycling of writing instruments: pens, highlighters, tipex. ACHIEVED
GlynswoodCommit to finding a solution to using all the scrap pieces of material that they have due to alterations etc., finding a way to re-use these instead of throwing them away by March 2022. ACHIEVED
